Historic Headline: FEAR FACTOR
Coronavirus went global this past week, despite glimmers of hope that the worst might be over in China, where it all started. After weeks of shrugging off the threat, investors panicked and stock markets tumbled. In the U.S., the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 12%, the worst week for stocks since the financial crisis. Treasury bonds rose as investors flocked to safety, pushing yields on 10-year and 30-year Treasuries to new lows.
